~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6/23/09 Summer has arrived! We are enjoying 80 degree temps this week. With all of the rain that we have had and now the hot humid temps the corn just may be knee high by the 4th of July. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5/7/09 This week has brought us a much needed break in the rainy spring weather. Many farmers have been able to make it into the fields to get some much needed field work done. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4/15/09 Each quarter we hold a clinic wide meeting – Doctors and staff. This quarter we had a very positive meeting with lots of feedback and interaction from all in attendance. We have an excellent team. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4/6/09 Mother nature has blessed us with what may be our last winter blast (we hope, but in Michigan you never know). It is very windy today with several inches of heavy snow on the ground and more falling. Several broken utility poles have left many without power, including our dairy farmers. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4/3/09 Our thoughts are with our producers as they are facing these economic down turns. The milk marketing futures that we are seeing are showing a light at the end of the tunnel. Hopefully it gets turned on. How can we help you…Get with us about the drop ship program, don’t try to cut corners where it will be an adverse affect on you later, and lastly keep us informed if you are having problems keeping up on your account. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ |
Deckerville Veterinary Clinic recently made cash donations to North Huron FFA, Ubly FFA, Lakers FFA and Sanilac FFA chapters. We are excited to be able to support our local FFA chapters. The FFA teaches our youth invaluable leadership, personal growth and career success skills, and we’re proud to contribute to their efforts. The donation was made possible by a Pfizer Animal Health program. For eligible purchases of Pfizer Animal Health cattle vaccines, a donation of 3 percent was made on behalf of Deckerville Veterinary Clinic to the local FFA chapters. The clinic will participate in current and future programs benefiting FFA. The chapter and its student members can use the funding for help with classroom materials, educational opportunities, travel to the national convention and more. If you are interested in supporting the organization through a donation or volunteering, contact your local FFA chapter, or visit FFA.org for more information. |
