Companion Animals

Our pets are some of the best companions that we have.  They provide us with comfort when we are down, match our joy when we are excited, and stay by our side as long as we let them.

The overall health of your pet is our number one priority at Thumb Veterinary Services.  We are here for you and your pet, whether in good health or bad.  Check out the other areas of our web site for further information on the most basic of pet health care to the most complex.  Use the links to access information from organizations that we find to parallel our levels of client information on common health and behavior problems.

APPOINTMENTS - The Deckerville office has companion animal appointments on Tuesday and Friday, with Tuesday being the surgery day.  Appointments at our Sandusky office are Monday thru Saturday.  Monday and Wednesday are surgery days. Walk-in clients are welcome, however appointments are much preferred.  Emergency cases shall always receive top priority followed by patients with scheduled appointments, and lastly walk-ins.

ARRIVAL POLICY - For your protection, and that of others, all dogs must be on a leash and properly controlled while in the waiting area or exam rooms.  All cats must be presented in an appropriate cat carrier or on a leash.  On rare occasions we may ask that you wait in your car while we complete an appointment with a difficult patient ahead of you.  Please understand that this is for the protection of you and your pet.  If you have been asked to bring a lab sample with you please present this at the time of check in.  This allows the lab technician to begin doing any appropriate laboratory work necessary in advance.

And lastly, do not hesitate to contact us after hours in the event of an emergency.
